Sex, sizzle, and shocking returns. Brace yourself, Days of our Lives fans, things are about to heat up. The soap just released its summer preview, and it’s chock full of tantalizing spoilers for all your most loved and loathed characters.
The promo begins with a trio of couples getting hot and heavy. Gabi (Camila Banus), who’s just reconciled with Jake (Brandon Barash), gets into some foreplay with her man grabbing him by the derriere. Meanwhile, Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) get busy under a blanket on their couch, and Allie (Lindsay Arnold) and Tripp (Lucas Adams) are in a heated lip-lock.
Surprise Duo
Next up, the reveal of Salem’s newest couple: Xander (Paul Telfer) and Gwen (Emily O’Brien). The two outcasts are going to find each other and take things to the next level. “Let…go,” warns Xander as Gwen grabs him. “Is that what you want?” purrs Gwen. Apparently, not. “Oh, I’ll show you what I want,” retorts Xander, pulling Gwen into a kiss.
More Sizzle
Former mob princess Ava (Tamara Braun) and dedicated Salem cop Rafe (Galen Gering) hit the sheets, too. Then, Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) shares a kiss with Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson), followed by a snippet of her moaning, “Oh Philip… yes!” The spot’s reminiscent of Meg Ryan’s fake orgasm scene in When Harry Met Sally. Seconds later, Chloe is kissing Brady (Eric Martsolf), who admits, “All I want is to be with you.” It looks like DAYS is gearing up for another round of Phloe vs. Broe.
Enter EJ
Shawn (Brandon Beemer) and Belle (Martha Madison) get romantic, too, and sparks continue to ignite between the newly reunited Lucas (Bryan Datillo) and Sami (Alison Sweeney). However, Sami seems to protest anything more happening between them. “I am married to EJ,” she says.
But Lucas isn’t dissuaded. “It’s called magic,” he notes. “That’s what we have, and I want it again.” Then Lucas walks over to Sami, caresses her face, and kisses her. A knock at the door interrupts things. When Sami answers it, she’s stunned to see who’s standing in front of her. “Oh my God, EJ,” she wails.
… And Johnny
Another DiMera hits town, too. Sitting alone in Horton Square, Allie jumps up when she sees a very familiar face. “Johnny, I’m so happy you’re home,” says Allie, running over to hug her twin brother.
Ciara’s Back
Something is set on fire, too. It looks like the divorce papers Ciara (Victoria Konefal) sent to Ben (Robert Scott Wilson). “I’m going to fight for my marriage with everything I’ve got,” professes Ben. Then he walks into his apartment to find his estranged wife sitting on his bed. “Ciara, you’re here.” But is she bearing good news or bad news?
… And So Is Eric
Nicole (Arianne Zucker) gets a surprise visit, too – from Eric (Greg Vaughan). She runs into his arms, and they later land in bed. But Nicole’s preoccupied with what she did, while he was away. “I cheated on my husband and made the worse mistake of my life,” viewers hear in a voiceover. Eric can sense something is off, while they’re cuddling in bed and asks, “Nicole, is something wrong?”
Murder and Mysteries
Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) has some news for Steve (Stephen Nichols). “You’re gong to want to sit down for this,” she warns.
Down by the lake, something grizzly is discovered. Allie and Claire run over to Tripp and Ben, and Claire announces, “We think there’s a dead body in the lake,” says Claire. Soon, Eli arrives on the scene and declares, “Something tells me this isn’t an accident.”
There’s also a large knife exchanged between two mysterious hands. Is crazy Jan (Heather Lindell) involved? A second later, Jan is shown standing behind Chloe with a gun. Chloe yells, “You bitch,” as she tries to wrestle the weapon away from her. Then Xander has Philip in a tight stranglehold. What could have sparked the latest fight between the two enemies?
Finally, the action wraps up with Paulina (Jackée Harry), who receives a surprise visitor at her door. She opens it and stands there stunned. “What the hell are you doing here?” she asks. Fans, no doubt, will be wondering the same thing. Check it out for yourself in the video below. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
