Days of Our Lives Spoilers Preview: Philip Is Back…And There’s Trouble

Days of Our Lives spoilers for August 17-21, 2020 are here and they reveal a comeback years in the making that sure to bring you on a blast to the past.

The original Philip Kiriakis is back in the form of Jay Kenneth Johnson, who hasn’t played the character in Salem for years. However, those with the DOOL App did get to see him in 2019 in The Last Blast Reunion in which Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) died — that also turned out to be a sick dream. As we know from last week, Chloe is not dead at all.

DAYS is touting Philip’s return as a genuine Last Blast Reunion in Salem now that Belle (Martha Madison) and Shawn (Brandon Beemer) decided to stick around for Claire’s (Isabel Durant) sake. The two are still not married but they are together. Will Philip put a damper on things? Remember, Belle did sleep with him as recently as 2016 when he was played by John-Paul Lavoisier.

Philip’s return could also spell trouble for Xander (Paul Telfer), who has enjoyed being Victor’s (John Aniston) favorite of late. It’s advancing his status within Titan, but he is not Victor’s on, he’s just his nephew. A son is something different and when Philip expresses his desire to work for his father’s company, Victor is more than happy to stick it to Xander. Will this cause the reformed baddie to seek revenge?

And, if this really is a Last Blast Reunion, does that mean Chloe will be heading back to Salem soon? We enjoyed seeing her last week in New York, but Salem is her home, after all…
