The Days of our Lives spoilers for December 28, 2020-January 1, 2021, tease yet another festive shindig devolving into an upsetting to-do.
The DiMera family plays host to a New Year’s Eve celebration that promises to be one that nobody will ever forget. Gwen (Emily O’Brien) steps up her scheme to sabotage Abigail (Marci Miller) and Chad’s (Billy Flynn) marriage. She manages to convince the latter that his wife has planned a romantic rendezvous with his brother.
In his despair, Chad turns to drinking…and to Gwen. But will he actually fall for her line of bull and do something that he will live to regret? Not if Anna (Leann Hunley) has anything to say about it!
She’s had Gwen’s number from day one, and she confides her suspicions in Abigail. The women unite in a search of Gwen’s sleeping quarters and unearth some rather incriminating evidence, but will they be able to track down Chad in time?
Concurrently, Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Jake’s (Brandon Barash) love affair becomes public knowledge. First, Jake spills the beans to Abigail, and then Kate tells Jennifer (Cady McClain). However, there’s trouble in paradise as spoilers say that the couple has a falling out!
Despite their difference of opinion and previous tiff, John (Drake Hogestyn) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) decide to join forces and suss out the identity of Allie’s (Lindsay Arnold) rapist once and for all. John’s certain that they’ll further incriminate Tripp (Lucas Adams), but Steve is sure that the existence of a heretofore unknown sibling will explain everything. Happy hunting boys!
In other Salem news, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) makes another attempt to get the goods on Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson), but spoilers reveal that it’s Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) who discovers her ex’s secret!
Meanwhile, Will (Chandler Massey) and Sonny (Freddie Smith) manage to ring in the New Year together via a web chat, and Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) makes a confession to Allie (Lindsay Arnold) and Marlena (Deidre Hall).
Finally, Claire (Isabel Durant) catches Charlie (Mike Manning) during an inopportune moment, and the names of Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli’s (Lamon Archey) twins are revealed. Days of our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
