Split Decision: Is The Gabigail Storyline A Huge Hit – Or Ginormous Dud?

You knew the cuteness overload that was Chad and Abigail on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) couldn’t last long! That’s just not how soap operas work.

So when black-wigged Gabigail (Marci Miller) turned around to face Stefan (Tyler Christopher), it didn’t take fans or him long to realize there was big trouble afoot with Salem’s Prodigal Daughter.

After all, this isn’t Abby’s first trip into the world of mental health issues. In fact, things had gotten so bad she felt the need to fake her own death (with Andre’s help) so as not to burden poor Chad (Billy Flynn) with a wife who was institutionalized.

Then voila! A few months with her grandmother Laura (Jaime Lyn Bauer) and she was ready to face Salem and Chad again. They finally found their way back to each other and seemed to be enjoying wedded bliss. It was too good to be true or at least to last. So how do fans feel about this new twist?

Poor Abby…Again
After over 5,000 votes were tallied, 73% voiced their displeasure that Abigail, who seemed to finally be getting past her issues to enjoy life with her hubby and son, has  through this yet again.

Add to that her weird “thing” with Stefan and it’s just too much for you to bear.

Double the Pleasure
That leaves 27% of you digging the fact that you get to see such a meaty storyline for one of your favorite young heroines. You know Miller is up to the challenge, and you can’t wait to see what she brings to this battle royal for control of Abigail’s mind.

Add to the mix Stefan and you’re really gearing up for the battle for Abigail’s heart, as well. Will Gabigail blow up Abby’s marriage past the point of no return? Or will Chad stand by his woman no matter what is uncovered about her – including the fact that she killed his brother? No matter the case, you say bring it on!
