Soap Vet Kyle Lowder Reveals First Look At New Film

Soap vet Kyle Lowder has charmed fans as Brady on Days of our Lives, angered them as Rex on the same show, and also thrilled them as Rick on The Bold and the Beautiful. Now the versatile actor is taking on a whole new role in an exciting dramatic film — and he has a first look at it you can watch.

Kyle Lowder Takes On New Role

The film is called The Ravine and it stars Teri Polo (ex-Kristin, Loving) and former Grey’s Anatomy McSteamy Eric Dane. It’s about a group of friends who are blindsided by news that someone they trusted has committed a horrible crime. As they try to get answers, they fall on hard times but ultimately must turn toward faith.

“Truly grateful to be a part of this film and to work with people who are making such an extraordinarily positive impact in this world. We look forward to sharing this powerful story and message with you all,” he wrote alongside the three-minute trailer.

Having Faith

It’s not your typical trailer, which you’ll be able to tell immediately as you see it open behind the scenes. After a brief glimpse of the film, it then takes you on location with those who made the film possible, sitting them down in an interview-like format to discuss what went into making the movie — certainly not your traditional sneak peek.

But it’s also not a traditional movie. This one shows how life can change in an instant — and the incredible power of forgiveness, especially when it seems impossible to give it. The film was adapted from the novel by Robert Pascuzzi, which was based on a true story that changed the lives of those involved. Also appearing in the film is fellow soap vet Leslie Uggams (ex-Rose Keefer, All My Children).

The film isn’t finished as yet and there is no word on when in 2020 it will be released, but as Soap Hub learns more, we will be sure to keep you updated.
