Brace yourself Days of Our Lives (DOOL) fans–things are about to take an abrupt turnaround for Chad and Abigail.
A few short days ago, Abigail was professing her love and renewing her wedding vows to Chad (Billy Flynn). Next week, she marries Dario!
But, first Abigail has to confront what went down between her and Chad.
Something to Talk About
“Chad and Abby do have to discuss things,” explains Marci Miller (Abigail), “because they start to remember a little bit of what happened while they were [under the influence of] Halo.
“A conversation has to take place, and it does. But it doesn’t really get them to a place of changing their circumstances.”
Although Chad can’t stop thinking about the kiss he and his ex-wife shared and despite Jennifer’s (Melissa Reeves) pleas that Chad stop Abigail from exchanging “I Do’s” with Dario, Chad stands firm. He’s committed to moving on with Gabi.
Yet, “Chad doesn’t want Abby to marry Dario,” points out Miller. “A couple of people are trying, consistently, to talk her out of it, but she’s going to do it. The wedding actually ends up being impromptu.”

Surprise Wedding
Abigail and Dario (Jordi Vilasuso) are at Club TBD, when the idea pops into their heads to get married right then and there. And, as fate would have it, “Abe Carver, who just happens to be an ordained minister, is there,” recounts Miller.
“Abby and Dario are like, ‘Let’s just do it now. Let’s just get it done.’ Everybody’s trying to convince them to not do this,” continues Miller. “They decide to marry, right then, so they don’t have to worry about the back and forth anymore.”
“It’s not formal. It’s nothing fancy,” continues Miller. “It’s just Dario and Abby… Abe requires some convincing to marry them, but he does agree to do it.”
Surprise Witnesses
But, of course, the bride and groom need witnesses. So when Chad and Gabi (Camila Banus), of all people, wander in, they end up standing up for the couple.
“Chad walks in, while Abby and Dario are standing there… in the middle of it all,” explains Miller.
“Dario asks him to leave, but Chad insists on staying. He’s like, ‘What are you doing, Abby? Why are you doing this?’ Abby has to fight this internal battle. Chad ends up saying, ‘Fine, if you’re going to do this, you need a witness, right? So I’ll stick around.’ Then, Gabi walks in. It’s just uncomfortable.”
