On today’s Days of our Lives, Paulina Price fesses up to yet another secret that she’s been keeping from her ever-loving hubby.
In addition, Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) hilariously distracted EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) for Stefan (Brandon Barash), Tripp (Lucas Adams) took a risk by telling Wendy (Victoria Grace) that he’s got feelings for her, and Talia (Aketra Sevillian) did her best to play matchmaker. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Despite sitting in the doctor’s examination room, Paulina (Jackée Harry) reported to Abe (James Reynolds) that she was currently sifting through the debris of her office and awaiting a quote from a security consultant.
Tripped popped in to overhear the tail end of Paulina’s phone call and good-naturedly ribbed her for not being wholly honest with her husband.
Afterwards, it was time to get down to some serious business. Exactly what was it that brought Paulina to see Dr. Greenberg, whom Tripp is having to cover for? Was she experiencing heart palpitations?

Paulina admitted that sometime earlier, she’d been convinced that she was having a heart attack but had been diagnosed as merely suffering from a panic attack courtesy of Chanel’s (Raven Bowens) newest hire. When Tripp cast aspersions on bakers playing physicians, Paulina quickly apprised him of Talia’s credentials.
And as Talia suspected, all the tests Tripp performs point to a standard panic attack. At least that’s some good-ish news. Could be a lot worse.
Paulina then inquired about Tripp and his personal life — his love life, to be specific. Turned out she wasn’t prying for prying’s sake. Instead, she was hoping that she could convince the medico to ask her daughter out on a date. After all, they’d once been close to becoming a bona fide couple.
For his part, Tripp hedged. He really likes Chanel — as a friend. When Paulina wondered if perhaps Tripp had his eye on yet another eligible lady, Tripp hemmed and hawed, forcing her to get tough. Eventually, Tripp copped to an attraction to Wendy but explained she was very much attached to Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), of all people.
That didn’t bother Paulina. “Doctor, remember, faint heart ne’er won fairy lady. I’m telling you, tell her how you feel, or you may end up regretting that you didn’t for a very long time.”
In response, Tripp offered some unsolicited advice of his own: Paulina needs to come clean to Abe about her panic attack.
Assured that the young doc is on to something, Paulina tracked Abe down to the Brady Pub and admitted she actually been in a doctor’s office rather than her own.
Having already swung by the cop shop to give Rafe (Galen Gering) a hard time over his handling of Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty), Melinda answered a summons issued by Stefan.
Color Nicole all kinds of shocked to learn that Li (Remington Hoffman) had indeed burst in on Stefan making merry with a woman in the hotel room she arranged for him to have and that that woman had been Melinda and not Gabi (Camila Banus)!
Color her queasy to witness Stefan and Melinda’s public display of overt affection, to hear Stefan compare his fervor for Melinda to “a geyser waiting to blow” and to bear witness to the pair decamping to Stefan’s room in order to “look at his stamp collection.”
Elsewhere, Li blasted EJ for the royal screwup and groused that Stefan and Gabi now had the upper hand.
Opposite, Wendy (not so) gently broke it to Gabi that, according to Lady Whistleblower, Stefan and Melinda were a hot item.
Gabi barely blanched at the news, and that alarmed Wendy. Does Gabi know something that she doesn’t? Of course not, the fashionista insisted before trying to change the subject to Wendy’s love life.
Wendy corrected that she didn’t really have a love life per se. For her and Johnny it was more of a “watch movies and hang out life.” But Gabi hadn’t been referring to Wendy and Johnny. She’d meant Wendy and Tripp!
Wendy countered that there was no her and Tripp, and she suspected Gabi brought that up as a diversionary tactic. Gabi refused to answer.
Enter Li, exit Gabi, who received a text that she claimed was from her new boss Mr. Saxton. To the strains of “Devil’s In The Details,” Stefan and Gabi enjoyed each other’s company in the DiMera’s manse’s secret room-cum-wine cellar while upstairs, Nicole and EJ listened to a serenade of Melinda’s loudest (fakest) O’s
Talia and Jada (Elia Cantu) converged at Horton Town Square and immediately set about verbally poking and prodding each other. Real sister stuff.
Talia preened about the “medical miracle” she performed on Paulina while Jada teased that it was “right up there with the loaves and fishes.” Talia sniped that Jada needed to get herself a man, preferably Rafe, and Jada spouted a laundry list of reasons why that was a no-go area.
Once that subject was laid to rest and the two had made tracks for the Brady Pub, who should arrive but Rafe?! And even though he’d just sworn to Abe that he had no romantic interest in Jada whatsoever, Rafe jumped at the chance to join his subordinate for a meal — leaving Talia to happily jump ship and leave the two to their own devices.
