The DAYS spoilers recap for Wednesday, July 13, 2022, features Sami Brady directing her anger at someone who actually deserves it. There’s a first time for everything.
Lucas Horton’s (Bryan Dattilo) goose is well and truly cooked, courtesy of a ranting and raving Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). When his myriad of protestations fell on suspicious ears, Lucas cops to framing EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). Yes, his rival was indeed innocent of kidnapping Sami (Alison Sweeney). This Sami could accept. But her intended kept on confessing.
Surprisingly, or perhaps not so, Sami couldn’t accept the fact that Lucas was the one responsible for the woman-napping. Maybe if the cell she had been confined to had been more to her liking, or if the guards were more jovial. But it wasn’t, and they weren’t. And she’s not going to thank Lucas for his efforts. She’s too mad.
She’s ‘you nearly let me be executed via lethal injection for a murder I didn’t commit’ mad. She’s I wanna go hump my ex-husband mad; it’s a soap thing. It’s a Days of our Lives thing.
They say that misery loves company, and whoever they are hit the nail on the head, at least where EJ and Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison) are concerned. He’s put out that Sami’s hitching herself to Lucas, she’s mad at herself for not wanting to raise the baby that’s a product of her husband’s rape. The best thing for their blues — apparently — is to head upstairs and make love. It’s a soap thing. It’s a Days of our Lives thing.
Proving that he hasn’t forgotten the real reason that he interrupted Lucas and Sami’s nuptials, Chad gets down to the business of accusing Lucas of killing Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller). Lucas takes great offense. He’d never kill his sister’s daughter. And sure, he could have declared that he’d never kill his niece, but an explanation that includes overly detailed familial relationships is a soap thing.
Seeing as how she needs to get over Lucas, Sami headed to the DiMera manse to get underneath EJ. She was pleased to find him already in the bedroom and half-dressed. Not so pleasing was the discovery of that casually tossed aside brassiere.
