The DAYS spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 23, 2022, features one plan bearing fruit while another hits a major snag.

Milo Harp, alias Orpheus (George DelHoyo), is living rent-free inside Steven Johnson’s (Stephen Nichols) head. The former’s loving the accommodations; the latter, not so much.

Unable to shake the feeling/opinion that Orpheus has targeted his “Little Sweetness” for some nefarious purpose, Steve conscripts good pal John Black (Drake Hogestyn) into helping him shadow her. Stephanie (Abigail Klein) does not thank her papa for his efforts.

And while Steve and John are otherwise engaged, Orpheus readies himself to enact his actual scheme…which involves kidnapping Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) and Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans), and not for the first time…nor the second. This is kind of Orpheus’s thing, and Steve should have seen this one coming.

DOOL Recap: Chemistry Test

EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) learned the hard way, and at the expense of a delicate family heirloom, that making an enemy out of Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) isn’t really worth the hassle. Still, he is going to try to get his hands on her *ahem* we mean get his hands on what’s hers. Yes, because there certainly isn’t any sexual tension between the pair. No siree Bob.

Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind. When Paulina Price Carver (Jackée Harry) came calling for a major favor — convince Abe Carver (James Reynolds) to run for Governor of Salem anywhere and everywhere USA — John and Marlena had to tell her some truths, namely that she was pushing her hubby into something that he might not be willing to do.

Stefan O. DiMera (Brandon Barash) is up and about, really shouty, and more demanding than he ever was. Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) filled his latest project in on all that had transpired, and to Stefan’s credit, he took the news quite well.

The rub? Stefan insisted on being reunited with his lady love, Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus). He’s not even mad that she had him stripped for parts. How’s that for understanding?

Will Stefan manage to reunite with his wife? Or will the combined (evil) forces of Rolf and Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) stymie him? Tune in tomorrow to find out.
