Harris (Steve Burton) declares that he’s been sent by Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) to kill Stefan (Brandon Barash) and takes aim. In the subsequent melee, Harris shoots and wounds Megan (Miranda Wilson)…Leo (Greg Rikaart) frees Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) from their bonds…Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and Eric (Greg Vaughan) share a fraught moment — replete with a smooch — before the former is reunited with EJ.

DAYS Recaps: Tuesday, July 4

Abe (James Reynolds) spies the man claiming to be his own son on an episode of Body and Soul…John (Drake Hogestyn) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) re-examine the evidence in Abe’s case and wonder if the reports of their buddy’s death have been greatly exaggerated. Opposite this, Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers), on furlough for her father’s funeral, comes to the same conclusion.

Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Talia (Aketra Sevillian) achieve a sort of rapprochement…Whitley (Kim Coles) drugs Abe into stupefaction…Salem celebrates the 4th of July. Rafe (Galen Gering) and Jada (Elia Cantu) flout departmental rules by taking in the fireworks together.

Marlena (Deidre Hall) put her unparalleled skills to good use, first by hypnotizing Kristen and EJ so that they reclaim their erased memories, and then by agreeing to work to deprogram Harris…Li insisted to Stefan and Gabi (Camila Banus) that he was being framed by Megan…Leo’s effort to get some dirt on Dimitri (Peter Porte) was stymied by Kristen’s arrival…Gwen (Emily O’Brien) accepts Dimitri’s proposal…Megan flees from the hospital and leaves Gabi in her steed.

DAYS Recaps: Friday, July 7

Shawn (Brandon Beemer) and Belle (Martha Madison) continue to drift further apart…EJ and Kate (Lauren Koslow) are chagrined to learn that Megan has done a runner…EJ is put out to find Eric comforting a distraught Nicole at a memorial built in Abe’s honor…Leo gets the goods on Dimitri. Dimitri responds by pulling Leo into a passionate clinch.
