Days of our Lives Recaps: Monday, August 1
Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) floats an idea for how to best deal with Milo Harp, alias Orpheus (George DelHoyo): kill him! John Black (Drake Hogestyn) demurs… Orpheus tries and fails to persuade Dr. Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) to counsel Christian Maddox, AKA Evan Frears (Brock Kelly)… Evan and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) submit their DNA so that it may be used to determine who fathered Shawn Christian.
Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) and Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) toast to the late Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash). Leo makes it clear that he still suspects that Gwen is Abigail Deveraux DiMera’s (Marci Miller) killer… Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) loses his temper with Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher)… Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) does herself no favors by copping to the numerous assaults she’s committed as of late. In a last-ditch effort to exonerate herself, Sarah asks Marlena to hypnotize her.
DAYS Recaps: Tuesday, August 2
Under hypnosis, Sarah recalls spending the night of Abigail’s murder in the presence of her ex-husband, Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder)… Gwen checks herself into a motel and muses over the Sarah mask in her possession.
Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) agrees to say that she and Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) were married at the time of his death, but she demands that Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) give her an executive position at DiMera Enterprises and a seat on the board… EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel) decides to call Ava’s bluff.
Jake is a lost cause…but Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) reveals to Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) that he’s kept Stefan O. DiMera (Brandon Barash) alive by artificial means and suggests transplanting Jake’s heart into his twin’s body.
DOOL Recaps: Wednesday, August 3
Evan is deemed Shawn Christian’s biological father. He collects the babe from a distraught Shawn but is waylaid and assaulted by a very much alive Jan Spears (Heather Lindell)… Upon learning that a marriage license signed by Jake and Ava has indeed been filed, EJ insists that Ava moves into the DiMera manse… Gabi confesses her and Ava’s scheme to Li Shin (Remington Hoffman); he’s delighted by it…
Days of our Lives Recaps: Thursday, August 4
Paulina Price Carver (Jackée Harry) steps up her efforts to get Abe Carver (James Reynolds) elected Governor. She makes an already awkward situation more so by waxing on about Nicole Walker Hernandez (Arianne Zucker) and Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughan) palpable chemistry… Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) asks Eric out on a date; he accepts.
Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) doesn’t respond well to Gwen’s insincere platitudes about Abigail… Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) gets nowhere in his efforts to convince Jada that Sarah is innocent of Abigail’s murder. Xander and Sarah resign themselves to solving the case themselves. Their number one suspect: Gwen!
DOOL Recaps: Friday, August 5
Xander and Sarah let themselves into Gwen’s hotel room, get their hands on her Sarah mask, then lose it when Gwen returns and makes up her mind to divest herself of it. Sarah and Xander go dumpster diving in the hopes of retrieving the item unaware that Leo has beaten them to the punch… Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) confronts Alexander Neil Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) over business-related chicanery and then hires him to work at Titan.
Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) catches Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Paulina scheming to break her and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) up and takes them to task. Chanel and Paulina are able to make up… Allie encourages Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) to take responsibility for his actions. As a result, he decides to plead guilty to kidnapping Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney).
