The Days of Our Lives recap for February 1-5, 2021, features Lani and Eli falling into a trap, a confession to a long-ago sin, and so much more.
Days of Our Lives Recap Highlights
A desperate Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) managed to nab Dr. Raynor (Victoria Platt) – thanks for arranging the meetup Xander (Paul Telfer)! – and submit her to a barrage of questions concerning their missing babies.
Dr. Raynor admitted to handing them over her blackmailer, but she insisted that she knew nothing about the man that could help the grieving parents identify him…nothing except for the fact that he seemed to be doing the bidding of a female he referred to as “Madame.”
Lani immediately remembered the endearment as Ivan’s (Ivan G’Vera) standby for Vivian Alamain (Linda Dano) and insisted that her old, presumed dead tormentor was behind the abduction! A little detective work pointed them in the right direction, and soon they were inside Vivian’s Chicago-area penthouse.
Their desire to be reunited with their children overrode their better judgment, and they allowed Ivan to manipulate them into a heavily fortified bedroom without armament or a means to communicate their position.
Dad Tidings
The results were in, and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) was indeed Gwen Rizczech’s (Emily O’Brien) father. But how to explain the years of hush money that was supposedly sent from Jack to Gwen’s mother.
Enter Laura Horton (Jaime Lyn Bauer), who tearfully explained that she had been the one to run interference all those years ago – an admission that sent Jack reeling…and raging!
Groom And Doom
Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) untamed glee over Eric’s (Greg Vaughan) impending homecoming was severely tempered when he telephoned and revealed that he had committed to another three-month stint with the humanitarian organization. In her grief, Nicole turned to Rafe (Galen Gering) who managed to talk her into seeing things from Eric’s perspective.
The Other Woman
Brady (Eric Martsolf) awoke from his coma, found Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) at his bedside, and was quickly informed of all that transpired in the aftermath of his shooting.
He was livid that Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) had not only broken out of Statesville but that she had laid all the blame for his predicament at Chloe’s feet…and he told Kristen so. Which wasn’t what the reincarcerated woman needed to hear. Nor did she welcome Susan Banks’s (Stacy Haiduk) interruption of her and Brady’s phone call.
While Susan flirted with and fretted over Brady, as Kristen fumed at her misfortune. But then she began to see the upside to having a doppelgänger running freely around town.
Boundless Love
Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) continued to believe that his beloved Ciara (Victoria Konefal) was alive and calling out to him in distress – and it was that spiritual connection that Susan Banks tapped into in order to suss out Mrs. Weston’s predicament.
While in her trance, Susan was able to discern that Ciara was indeed amongst the living, that she was imprisoned in a cage made from plexiglass, and that she was at the mercy of a “bad, bad, man!”
Susan also bore witness to Ciara’s frantic escape attempt, which Rhodes nipped in the bud. Though she was defeated, Ciara remained unbroke…and she was left more determined than ever to reunite with her husband.
Shove Off
After receiving some solid advice from Tony (Thaao Penghlis), Jake (Brandon Barash) decided that he would not be partnering with Gabi (Camila Banus) on a revamp of Gabi Chic.
Gabi was far from pleased. And even less so since the news was delivered while she was in nothing but a towel. But Jake agreed to fully sign the company over to her, so at least there was that consolation. Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
