On today’s Days of our Lives, Bo Brady proved that the mercenary apple doesn’t fall from the tree.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
In addition, Stephanie (Abigail Klein) learned that her mother is alive, Marlena (Deidre Hall) reunited with and then scolded her warring kids, and Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson) made a deal to give up the goods on Bo. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Bo Brady Plans To Emulate His Bio Pops
Bo (Peter Reckell) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) have traversed sea and land — including swamp — and the latter is exhausted, filthy, completely clueless as to her brother’s intentions, and, not to put too fine a point on it, pretty peeved by the whole situation.

Kayla was less than thrilled when Bo revealed that the abode they’d sheltered in was the childhood home of Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston), and even more so when he began waxing lyrical about Vic’s rise from poverty to the upper echelons of society.
She quickly pointed out that Victor’s amassed wealth and power stemmed from criminal doings and bemoaned Bo’s sudden admiration for the man who sired him. Bo is a Brady, and most decidedly not a Kiriakis, Kayla argued, but Bo begged to differ.
Victor might have made some *ahem* questionable decisions in his lifetime, but at least he hadn’t lied to Bo about who he really was all his life. And how different things could have been had Bo grown up knowing his real father, knowing where he came from, and why he felt the way he did.
But no matter. Bo intended to right that egregious wrong by following in Victor’s footsteps. He was going to make his fortune and forge his own empire — and he needed Kayla’s help to accomplish that goal.
Kayla demanded to know exactly what Bo had in mind, and he helpfully explained that she was to pick right back up where Dr. Rolf (Richard Wharton) left off in his attempts to synthesize a “Fountain Of Youth” serum from that much-in-demand orchid.
DAYS Recap: Ask And Ye Shall Receive
Meanwhile, back in Salem, Stephanie anxiously waited on an update from Steve (Stephen Nichols). Chad (Billy Flynn) encouraged her to reach out yet again — “[call] 21’s always been a winner for me” — and she did just that. Unbeknownst to Steph, her actions couldn’t have come at a worse time.
There Megan was, poised to reveal to Steve exactly who it was that absconded with Kayla, and what should interrupt but a ring from Steve’s phone.
Steve took his leave of the villainess, answered his daughter, and wound up revealing to her that Kayla was alive and presumably well, and he was working diligently to locate her.
With Steph apprised, Steve returned to the task at hand, but Megan, having had time to really ponder matters decreed that she’d only provide Steve with the name of the person who took his “Sweetness” on the proviso that Director Donovan cut her a deal.
Her initial ask — complete and total immunity — was dismissed out of hand, but Steve seemed more amenable to her second: transferal to Salem’s Statesville prison in lieu of an ISA black site where she’d “cease to exist.”
Marlena Evans Black Wants Peace
After personally escorting Marlena back to their humble, multi-suite penthouse and attending to her immediate want and need for some sugar, John (Drake Hogestyn) summoned Belle (Martha Madison) and Eric (Greg Vaughan).
As has become rote, the kin snapped and sniped at one another, and Belle took great delight in taking potshots at Eric’s “skank” lady friend Sloan (Jessica Serfaty).
John hushed the two up, filled them in on Megan’s arrest, and piqued their interest by claiming that Megan would be answering for Marlena’s death. And that’s because their mother was still very much alive! Cue the floodgates and the hugs and the barrage of questions.
Marlena had questions of her own, namely, what was it that her children feuding, and is it possible for the two of them to get over it? They agreed that it was — in the short term, anyway.
Hope Springs Eternal
Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) was heartened by the sight of Hope (Kristian Alfonso) coming for a visit, and Hope was disappointed by just how surprised Harris was to see her return, not to mention the fact that he was handcuffed to his hospital bed and being subjected to even more tests.
Enter Andrew Donovan (Colton Little) to update Hope on Megan’s capture and Marlena and Kayla’s resurrections.
Once Hope exited to go and confront Megan, Andrew informed Harris that the tests he was undergoing were in aid of determining whether or not he was truly deprogrammed and if he can be released back into the general population.
Opposite that, Hope faced off against Megan, who pointedly questioned whether Hope was truly prepared to give her heart completely to Harris. Hope was certain that Megan was making insinuations, but before Megan could elucidate, Steve arrived with her deal.
DOOL Recap: Now Hear This
Chad was ecstatic for Steph and her good fortune, but he couldn’t help but blanch at Kate (Lauren Koslow) failing to make it back home.
After soothing Chad’s hurt, Steph received a call from an unknown contact and answered. Who should the caller be but her beloved, ever-resourceful mother?!
