Over Time: Should Lani Confess To Killing TR On Days of our Lives?

Was it only a few weeks ago when Lani Price Grant, seeing biological dad TR Coates putting his hands on biological mom, Paulina Price, took out her police-issued weapon and shot him dead on Days of our Lives.

Paulina took the blame for the crime, as a way presumably to atone for abandoning Lani…and then letting TR back into her life. She was arrested and charged, and then…nothing much happened. To move this story along, should Lani confess that she’s the one who actually pulled the trigger?

DAYS: To Protect and Serve

Lani (Sal Stowers) needs to protect her mother, 73% insist. Yes, she has lots of reasons to be mad at Paulina (Jackée Harry). There was the lying about Lani’s paternity – and her maternity. There was the allowing TR (William Christian) to snow them both.

But neither one of those justifies letting Paulina go to prison on Days of our Lives – especially since what Lani did wasn’t just a moment of an average citizen losing her head. Lani is a cop. She drew her weapon as a cop. And she shot a man in the back…as a cop. Having cops lose control and start firing at a guy who pissed her off is…not a good look.

Days of our Lives: Right Or Wrong

Yeah, she should, 22% of you shrug, but we’re not confident she will. Lani will likely tell herself that she’s a mom, she needs to stay out of prison in order to raise her kids, Jules and Carver. She can’t leave Eli Grant (Leman Archey) to do it alone! She’s not doing it for herself, she’s doing it for her family!

DOOL: Mom’s the Word

If Paulina wants to sacrifice herself, let her, 5% of the audience shrugs. She has her reasons, and Lani shouldn’t get in the way of the woman’s penance. Empower women!
