On Days of our Lives, after both Roman Brady and Kate Roberts all but blatantly told Eric Brady to go after the wife who got away, Eric hightailed it over to Nicole Walker’s…only to learn that she and Rafe Hernadez had run out and gotten married.
Should Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) newly married status put a stop to Eric’s (Greg Vaughan) efforts? A pause, even? Soap Hub asked, and here’s how viewers answered.
Leave the woman alone, 49% of the audience is shouting. Nicole is finally happy. Sure, she was happy with you. And, sure, she was happy with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) before that. Nicole is always happy until she isn’t anymore and decides to sabotage herself.
So, to be honest, Eric doesn’t even really need to do anything to come between Nicole and Rafe (Galen Gering). Odds are, she’ll start looking around sooner rather than later. If she cheated on Brady with Eric, odds are good she’ll do the same with Rafe.
Is Nicole what Eric really wants, though, 26% of you wonder? Sure, they’ve decided they’re the love of each other’s lives. But considering how many loves she had before him, not to mention the fact that Eric was perfectly happy to leave the country, the entire continent without her for months at a time. Nicole marrying Rafe might suggest that she’s not really all that into him. But Eric’s actions suggest he might not be all that into her, either.
Eric needs to beg for Nicole’s forgiveness, an almost equal 25% insist. She may have been the one who cheated on him, but he obviously drove her to it. After all, what woman could survive having her husband out of town without jumping into bed with Xander Cook (Paul Telfer)? He’s clearly the one in the wrong here.
