The Y&R spoilers recap for Wednesday, June 29, 2022, brings a showdown between Chelsea Lawson and Chloe Mitchell Fisher. Plus, Nate Hastings asked a reluctant Imani Benedict for a personal favor, Amanda Sinclair returned from seeing her mother, and Phyllis Summers walked into an Abbott family celebration.
Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) met with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier). They asked her to design a new line for Marchetti, and Chelsea was stunned. The good news is they had already gotten it approved by Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey Bregman). Chelsea was honored but still had to run it by Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson).
Chelsea told Chloe all about it, and her business partner’s response was less than good. Chloe flat-out told Chelsea it wouldn’t work. The two argued, and said some things, but then Chloe got called to pick up her daughter, leaving Chelsea frustrated. These two seem to have a serious issue, and it’s hard to see how they’ll work it out.
Young and the Restless: Rivalry
Nate (Sean Dominic) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) had lunch at Society. Devon gave his cousin hell for committing to something that Chancellor-Winters couldn’t deliver on — 50 plus podcasts. These two continue butting heads while working together, and it seems like things could get worse before they improve.
Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) had an idea, that Devon was fully on board with, but Nate wasn’t so sure. However, after Elena further expanded on all her ideas, Nate liked them too. Later, he found Imani (Leigh-Ann Rose) and asked her to do a personal favor — get Elena out of her Newman contract. Knowing this would bring Elena into their world, Imani wasn’t thrilled, but Nate wore her down until she agreed.
Y&R Spoilers Recap: Motherly Love
Amanda (Mishael Morgan) returned from seeing her and Imani’s mother. Before Imani went to see her sister, she ran into Elena at Chancellor-Winters, and she couldn’t keep from getting in a couple of digs at her supposed romantic rival.

Meanwhile, Amanda (Mishael Morgan) chatted with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) at The Grand Phoenix, and she got the lowdown on everything that went down between Phyllis and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Then, Amanda updated her friend on her mom’s health issues after her stroke. Imani showed up, and Phyllis bowed out.
The two sisters spoke, and Amanda relayed the situation to Imani. They held hands as they worried about their mom. Amanda promised to be there for her sister.
Y&R: A Family Affair
At the Abbott mansion, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) tried to make inroads with Jack. Jack continued to keep her at arm’s length. When Summer and Kyle came home, they offered Diane a junior PR position at Marchetti, and she was thrilled. Jack seemed neutral.
Diane suggested a family dinner out to celebrate, but Jack tried to duck out. However, Kyle and Summer convinced him to join them at Society. While they were there, Phyllis walked in, and she wasn’t thrilled by what she saw. Summer went over to her mom, and Phyllis gave her a big hug while looking over at the table.
