UPDATE: While SoapHub really wanted to believe the below article was true, it appears the Facebook account saying it was the beloved Days of our Lives alum was a FAKE. We are sorry for getting Peter Reckell fans’ hopes up. Ours were too.

Peter Reckell got social media and soap opera fans in a serious tizzy with a recent post on his newly created Facebook page. The actor reported that the return of his beloved Salem character, Bo Brady, is in the works at Days of our Lives.
“So how many that can’t wait ‘til I’m back on Days?” asked Reckell in the surprise post. “Not final but I have been asked to do a surprise drop in for Ciara; on her behalf for one week. Nothing for certain, but I’m thinking about it…”
Not surprisingly, the response was fast and furious. Comments began pouring in immediately with everything from a simple “awesome” to “Days is not the same without you.”
Reckell was clearly humbled by the reaction. “[Ahhh], thank you. I am seriously thinking maybe it wouldn’t hurt, but my wife’s career keeps us so busy,” Reckell added, referring to singer/songwriter Kelly Moneymaker. “It’s hard to fit anything in.”
Add the fact that the actor and his family currently reside in New Zealand, and it’s even more complicated. However, Peter Reckell is obviously giving it some serious thought or he wouldn’t have alerted fans to the possibility of a DAYS comeback. “Nothing is [definite] yet. Just up in the air right now,” he cautioned. “I got to run… Thanks for the love and support.”
Reckell’s return, no matter how long or short, is music to Days of our Lives fans’ ears. They were aghast when the soap brought Bo Brady back in 2015 for the show’s 50th anniversary, only to reveal he had a terminal brain tumor.
Hence, after saving Hope’s (Kristian Alfonso) life, sharing a romantic reunion with her, and enjoying a big welcome home party with family and friends at Brady Pub, his character was killed off in a matter of weeks. He died peacefully in Hope’s arms in the park, that November.
The possibility of Bo’s return in a dream, flashback, or fantasy sequence would definitely add some spice to the soap. And it would give viewers something they’ve always wanted to see: scenes between Peter Reckell and the TV daughter he’s never gotten to work with before, Daytime Emmy winner Victoria Konefal, who portrays Ciara.
