Yes, we all know that Days of Our Lives Executive Producer Ken Corday declared that after September 1 of last year, nobody will return from the dead again. However, this is a soap and if people’s death weren’t greatly exaggerated, we’d think we were watching real life.
In addition, we already know for sure Matthew Ashford and Daniel Cosgrove are returning in late spring/early summer and their characters seemed sincerely dead. Sure, they might be ghosts, but Chandler Massey’s former manager even dropped a small hint that Massey might return, and Will seemed truly dead, as well. So, again, let’s pretend Corday never said what he did and play the resurrection game.
Soap Hub wanted to know what allegedly dead character or characters you’d like to see return, and your choices didn’t surprise us.
Coming in with more than half at the vote at 51% is none other than our (and Sami’s) beloved EJ DiMera. You want to believe as much as Sami does that EJ sent the DiMera passcode info AFTER he supposedly perished and hope she’ll find him someday soon. You miss James Scott dearly and feel the DiMeras need him now that Stefano is gone.
Our beloved Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) received 35% of the vote because you just can’t believe after surviving torture and every other calamity for decades, a brain tumor did him in within a day. (OK, we know he supposedly had it longer than that, but in our Salem world, it was a one-day death tumor.) Besides, you love Bo. Heck, we all love Bo. He was our Salem forever hero and Hope needs him desperately–much more than she needs Aiden.

Another 5% of you would love to see poor Paige Larson (True O’Brien) make a comeback and a final 4% want Will (Chandler Massey or even Guy Wilson) among the living. Hey, maybe Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) IS just a sweet college student and not batty at all. Maybe it was all a dream and his victims will return. Ok, likely not, but stranger things have happened in this little land called soaps.
