The Days of Our Lives Hot Seat is back! The show has been putting out videos challenging the actors with questions, and this time it was Steve and Kayla’s turn. Their portrayers, Stephen Nichols and Mary Beth Evans had a blast answering questions, this time about how well they knew each other’s characters.
Their Final Answers
On Instagram, DAYS’ official page posted, “After 36 years of marriage, Steve and Kayla have been through a lot of ups and downs, so they must know each other well, right? Let’s see! It’s time for Stephen and Mary Beth to take the hot seat in DOOL’ing Couple!”
First, the couple was asked, “Over the years, who has done more romantic gestures?” They both picked Steve, and Evans stated, “He does all of them. ” Then, thinking about it, she recalled a time when the characters were on a pier for their anniversary, and Kayla had made a romantic gesture then. They picked each other when asked who was “more likely to have a collection of unusual items.” Evans said that Kayla works too much and doesn’t have the time to acquire them, but Nichols countered, “You have so many knick knacks. Have you seen our place?”
On who apologizes first, they again picked each other with Nichols exclaiming, “Oh, come on! Are you kidding?” Evans felt that Steve was always apologizing about something, like when he didn’t tell her he helped break Clyde (James Read) out of prison. She added the inside tip: “We hardly fight in real life, by the way.”

They Didn’t Trivia-lize Things
The questions went on as both agreed that Kayla controlled each others’ “decision making,” and Evans remarked, “As it should be.” While they both chose Kayla as the better cook, Nichols recalled, “Back in the ’80s, I cooked all the time.” A fan commented on the last question with, “C’mon now! Remember Steve’s hot plate meals? Making lobster? The man knows what he’s doing in the kitchen! ❤️.”
One fan who loves the actors and their characters remarked, “Stephen & MaryBeth are just the cutest together❤️ And what couple in reel or real life can agree on everything😂 More Steve & Kayla & Stephen & MaryBeth on our screens please❤️🙌🙌🙌.” There were a few more questions, but you’ll have to watch the video to hear them and view Evans and Nichols’ hilarious answers!
