Jada is the victim of a bad decision on Days of Our Lives. Instead of using her detective skills to find out why Rafe was not acting like himself, she assumed their relationship was over when he dumped her at the altar and revealed phony information incriminating her as a corrupt cop. After everyone realized it was Arnold Feniger, not Rafe, she was happy to have her fiancé back. However, when she previously thought she and Rafe were done, she slept with Shawn and revealed that to the returned Rafe. Elia Cantu recently explained what Jada’s next options are.

His Double Was Convincing

Cantu told Soap Opera Digest that what Jada has been going through is similar to the various stages of grief. Because she’s been running the gamut of emotions where Rafe and her dalliance with Shawn (Brandon Beemer) are concerned, “She still has a lot to figure out.”

She also said that she loves Jada’s honesty and moral compass and admires the fact that her character isn’t afraid to confront her problems. Rafe is upset because he feels that his own fiancé should have known that Arnold wasn’t him. But Cantu argued that his doppelganger was so good that not even his close family members knew the difference. As a result, “She felt Rafe was a bit too hard on her, that it was a bit much.”

Did She Do More Than Cheat?

Cantu also explained that working with Rafe’s alter ego, Galen Gering, was wonderful because they were both “really in the moment.” They did not worry about any details; they just jumped in and let the dialogue and scenes flow. She likened it to a runner’s high and noted that when they’re in the moment, the whole world fades away, and it’s just them on the set.

“It’s almost like you blank out, but that’s when the magic happens. That’s the beauty,” she explained. Since EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) has been blamed for the whole situation, Cantu feels that Jada — who has memory issues from drowning her sorrows in alcohol — could have potentially been the one to shoot him.

It remains to be seen whether she was the one who did it, and Cantu feels the audience will enjoy the mystery unfolding.
