Did Philip really deserve what he got on Days of Our Lives? Maybe, but the big question is whether Xander should do more than just the punch in the head he gave him. It’s too bad that things have come to this, because the brothers had finally found a way to work together and even found themselves liking each other. But Xander misconstrued Philip’s theft of the Versavix serum as yet another betrayal, and walloped his bro. The fans had an interesting take on this escalating conflict.
Brotherly Camaraderie
On Instagram, Xander’s portrayer, Paul Telfer, shared a pic of himself looking mean and ready to fight, as well as a clip of Xander pummeling Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier). He wrote, “We all know Xander has been a tick, tick, ticking time bomb ever since his brother came home…⏳💣💥👊.” Emily O’Brien, who plays both Theresa and Gwen, eagerly responded with the emojis: “💥🔥👏.”
One fan felt for Philip and commented, “The way Philip spun around was so good, I’m waiting until Xander realizes Philip’s intentions were good.” Another follower enjoyed the brotherly camaraderie that had been created before the secret of Philip’s forged letter got out, writing, “Lol. Love the punch. 🤛. But I also like you guys working together. The shenanigans that you two could cause could be very entertaining 👏👏.”

He Needs to Show Growth
When one person shared their hope for the future with, “Hopefully they can work this out. I loved Xander and Phillip working together way more than I thought. They brought humour to the show,” another replied, “I love Phillip (John-Paul Lavoisier).” Telfer couldn’t help but react, “@kaye592001 me too : ).”

Another viewer lamented Xander’s violent outburst, scolding him with, “The character Xander should be past this nonsense way of acting by now! We constantly see how he says he is a better person because of Sarah!” adding that he should show that he’s grown and should, “Handle situations like this like a rational adult already!” Telfer hilariously responded, “@carla_young_68 always one step forward, two steps back with this guy…”
