DAYS Star Martha Madison Reveals Her Struggle As She Honors A Mentor

While Days of our Lives fans are thrilled to have Martha Madison back where she belongs — thrilling us all as Belle Black Brady, the adorable star recently admitted to having some tough times in her career. But an amazing woman helped her find her way — and she paid tribute to that helping hand.

Martha Madison Pays Tribute

The actress did so in honor of International Women’s Day on Tuesday. “Five years ago, at one of the lowest points in my career, I met this amazing woman who would serve to become one of the most influential people in my life,” began Madison — in a touching post on her Instagram account.

“First, she listened to me….not just the words I was saying, but the what, how and why of my circumstances,” she continued. “Then, she encouraged me. She reminded me of my strengths and my heart and helped me believe in myself again.” As anyone who has been in that same place as Martha Madison, having someone do that isn’t just kindness — it’s the most incredible gift.

“After that, she mentored me,” added Madison. “She showed me many new ways of looking at things and people and opportunities. Then, she trusted me. She handed me tasks, and then clients, and then teams…and then two promotions. Over the last five years, she took me from rock bottom to Vice President. This is what powerful women do.
