Whether he’s cooking up another scheme or just simply trying to ruin someone’s life, Dan Feuerriegel’s EJ truly enjoys causing trouble on Days of Our Lives. As the show rolls into 2025 with guns drawn and romance aplenty, the holidays were a nice time for the cast and crew to enjoy time with family and loved ones. However, Feuerriegel managed to slip out of time and space to send a special message to his followers.
No Time Like the Present and Future
Feuerriegel posted a spectacular video on Instagram of an incredible fireworks display emanating from the Sydney Harbour Bridge in Sydney, Australia, which began with the sound of people counting down from 10 and had the overlaid text: “Happy New Year. Hello 2025 ♥️.” Accompanying it was his caption, “Cheers to welcoming 2025 in style from the future here in Australia. Wishing you a wonderful year ahead. ♥️.” He, of course, was referring to the fact that his native country was able to ring in the new year several hours before we did in America.
However, was it just the time difference, or was he really in the future? His message indicated the latter as he continued, “PS – I’ve seen the future. The Robots will win. Do what you can to prevent this from happening [to the] rest of the world. Australia is lost. If this is to be my last transmission, please don’t look at my browser history.” That last hilarious line was enough for us to breathe a sigh of relief that he was simply pulling the fans’ collective legs.

The Happiest of New Years
One fan played along with Feuerriegel’s gag, responding, “Quick what’s the lottery numbers? Happy New Year!” to which the actor replied with a sly nod to film Spaceballs: “12345…Coincidentally, it’s the same combination as I have on my luggage.” When one follower posted several shocked emojis, Feuerriegel couldn’t help but write back, “Aus blows in style 🙌.”
The fans were suitably impressed by the fireworks display, with one commenting, “Wow, Australia really goes way out for the new year so beautiful. Thank you for sharing.” A follower who was still in the past at the time of his posting replied, “Happy New Year from France, where we are still in 2024! 😁 I wish you the best for 2025!” (Find out what a day in Feuerriegel’s life is like.)
