A New Kiriakis to Arrive in Salem?

Days of Our Lives has put out a casting call for a new character named Alex.

According to Soap Opera Digest, DAYS is looking for an actor in his early to late 30s to play this seemingly-pivotal role.

The character is described as someone who “has spent the last 10 years traveling the world and amassing a small fortune. His ambition grew and his success in the marketplace has given him an enough of a cocky confidence to come to Salem with an agenda to challenge his family for control of the business.

When it comes to women, Alex can be a bit of a playboy like his dad used to be.”

DAYS has had several characters named Alex on the canvas, including Alex Marshall (Quinn Redeker) and Alex North (Wayne Northrop), but the only one who might be in his 30s we last saw as a baby.

Longtime fans will remember Justin (Wally Kurth) had an affair with Jack’s step-mother, Angelica Deveraux (Jane Elliott, and then Judith Chapman), back in the 1980s. That affair produced a son named Alex, but we haven’t heard anything from son or mother in years.

The fact that this new character has a former(?) playboy father and a family in town with a business leads us to believe this might be Justin’s long-lost son, and a half-brother who could give Sonny (Freddie Smith) a run for his money.
