Days of our Lives Paulina Price and Kate Roberts
On Days of our Lives, Paulina Price and Kate Roberts bonded in the hospital over the rotten men in their lives and how they cost them their children. Kate apologized for judging Paulina, and Paulina was surprised that she could have something in common with someone like Kate.
Why? They are complete strangers to each other. Paulina (Jackée Harry) doesn’t know Kate (Lauren Koslow) well enough to be surprised over anything about her. Wait till she finds out Kate also has two kids that came down from space. With a guy she didn’t sleep with…then. Could this be the beginning of a beautiful friendship? What viewers want to see happen:
Exactly half of you, 50%, are dying to see these two become gal pals. On the surface, they may seem so different. But, deep down, they’re exactly the same. Both had to fight to get out of terrible situations to become successful businesswomen, even as their ungrateful brats continue to be…ungrateful. They can lament to each other when nobody else understands.
An almost equal number, 44% of the audience is okay with the idea of Kate and Paulina as friends, but only if it serves the story and doesn’t feel forced. They can’t just be there to dump information on each other or to trade notes about Abe Carver (James Reynolds). Make them a pairing that can pass the Bechdel Test!
Women can’t be friends, 6% of the fans scoff. Women can only fight over a man. Kate and Paulina should drop the nicey-nice act and scheme against each other for Abe’s heart. Making them friends who were both interested in the same man would be too sisters before misters…and nobody wants to watch that in Salem.
