The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Tuesday, April 3 features Abby’s alters fighting for control, which allowed Abigail to slip out and seek help.
Epic Battle Begins
Chad (Billy Flynn) asked “Abigail” (Marci Miller) why she said what she did on the stand. Stefan tried to distract, but Chad looked her in the eyes. She told him she wanted to be alone, and then she got her glasses from Stefan and tried to head out.
Gabigail told Dr. Laura that Chad is catching on and said she wanted out, so they went to a private place in her head and argued with one another.
Gabigail wanted the chance to be with Stefan, but Dr. Laura wasn’t about to let that happen. Gabigail punched Dr. Laura, while Abby got free and ran to Marlena.
A Battle – DiMera Style
Meanwhile, Chad and Stefan (Tyler Christopher) argued about which woman was telling the truth.
Chad let him know he saw the woman who looked like Gabi. Stefan said he would tell him everything on one condition – he had to beat him at a game of chess.mIf Stefan won, Chad backs off. If Chad won a piece, Stefan would answer a question.
After a good move, Stefan confessed he took Andre’s phone, didn’t kill him (nor did Viv), and that yes and no – the woman in the wig killed Andre. Chad won another piece and asked to hear more about this woman.

Eli (Lamon Archey) told Lani (Sal Stowers) he wanted to be a part of their baby’s life but she said no.
She told him she almost had an abortion and that the baby would always be a reminder of the night she ruined her life.
She then doubled over in pain, and Eli took her to the hospital to see Kayla (Mary Beth Evans). Lani told Eli she was scared. He told her she doesn’t have to do it alone. She finally agreed and said she was glad he was there.
Valerie (Vanessa Williams) tried to stick up for herself with Abe (James Reynolds), but he got angry and told her he had nothing left to say to her.
Valerie turned to Marlena (Deidre Hall) for support as Abe turned to John (Drake Hogestyn). Afterwards, Valerie found Abe and tried to reconnect.
Life Unscripted
Steve (Stephen Nichols) got settled at the restaurant Tripp (Lucas Adams) works at and his son was shocked to realize Steve was blind already.
Steve told hm how worried he is about the toll this is all taking on Kayla. Tripp knows he’s proud, but still offered to help.
