Everything You Need to Know About Cady Huffman, DAYS’ New Calista

There’s trouble ahead on Days of our Lives, now that Cady Huffman is about to arrive on the scene as Calista Lockhart – someone from Bonnie Lockhart’s (Judi Evans) questionable past that comes back to haunt her.

The role marks Huffman’s second soap stint, having previously played Dr. Paige Miller on One Life to Live from 2005 to 2006. However, her career spans far beyond daytime, having appeared in an array of film, primetime, and Broadway projects Here’s everything you need to know about Cady Huffman.

1. While she’s not related to Desperate Housewives’ Felicity Huffman, she does have a family connection to prolific musical theater actor Linus Huffman. She’s his younger sister.

2. As a kid, Huffman appeared in local Santa Barbara theater productions, and she had some prestigious company. She worked alongside Eric Stoltz and Anthony Edwards.

3. Huffman’s big-screen appearances include The Company Men, opposite Ben Affleck and Chris Cooper; Hero with Dustin Hoffman, Geena Davis, and Andy Garcia; and The Nanny Diaries opposite Scarlett Johansson.

4. In 2001, Huffman won a Tony Award for her portrayal of sexy Swedish secretary Ulla in The Producers, opposite Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick.

5. The gig led to her unforgettable recurring role as Ulla on Larry David’s HBO series, Curb Your Enthusiasm, in 2004.

6. Cady Huffman’s Broadway past is quite impressive. She was also nominated for a Tony for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for The Will Rogers Follies. Plus, she appeared in La Cage Aux Folles, Steel Pier, Dame Edna: The Royal Tour, and Big Deal; the latter being the last show directed and choreographed by Bob Fosse.

7. She had her own YouTube series, Cady Did, in 2020. You can access it here. With no options left in the big city, it explores Huffman having to return back to her small hometown after an embarrassing audition video goes viral. There, she ends up running a local access TV station with her nemesis.

8. She has a connection to former Days of our Lives star Kevin Spirtas (ex-Craig). Huffman appeared in his Amazon Prime Video series, After Forever.

9. Cady Huffman was a regular food judge on Food Network’s Iron Chef America. Host Alton Brown described her as “the Kitty Carlisle” of the series.

10. She produced and starred in the 2004 film Sunday on the Rocks. It won 2nd Place Feature at the New Haven Film Festival.
