Days of our Lives star Nadia Bjorlin took a little break from playing Chloe Lane and her latest romantic troubles back in Salem to head to Knoxville, Tennessee to film a part in a new movie.
The popular actress took to Instagram to offer fans a small glimpse of her role, which is slated to be released in December. “Hard at work & hardly working with my friends @officialstevenbauer and @harrylennix on our new film ‘Nothing is Impossible,’” she posted, adding a photo from the film.
Directed by Matt Shapira and written by Tommy Blaze and Andrea Gyertson Nasfell, the story revolves around a high school janitor who gets a second chance at both love and life when an NBA team suddenly announces open tryouts. Nadia Bjorlin plays Ryan Aikens who it looks like plays a big role in that second chance at love mentioned above with David A.R. White’s Scott Beck.
When one Instagram follower asked Bjorlin if she was playing a teacher, she replied, “No, but I’m a boss…Like all teachers are.” The film also stars Steven Bauer and TV vet Harry Lennix, currently gearing up for his ninth season playing Harold Cooper on The Blacklist.
On the post, Grant Turnball, Bjorlin’s real-life husband, thanked the two actors who star in the film along with his wife. Thanks @harrylennix for looking after my wife for 2 weeks,” he wrote, adding the hashtag “#legends.” Nadia Bjorlin also commented on another fan being in awe that Lennix was involved. “I know, I have such a crush on him now,” the actress shared.
The film was shot entirely in Knoxville, Tenn. According to Curt Willis, a producer on the film, Nothing is Impossible languished in development for years until he mentioned it to the folks in the Knoxville film office, and was invited to shoot in the town.
“In less than a month, the film was approved and green-lit,” he said in a film announcement posted on the Visit Knoxville website. “So, in a movie about redemption and never giving up, that’s how Nothing is Impossible got its second chance.”
On-screen in Salem, Nadia Bjorlin’s Chloe Lane is having a déjà vu moment, with her character torn once again between Philip Kiriakis and Brady Black. Her decision-making hasn’t always been the best, but will she choose the right man this time around? Stay tuned to find out.
