Tripp may not have met his super-couple match on Days of our Lives just yet but, off-screen, his portrayer, Lucas Adams, has found his “OTP” (One True Pairing).
The actor recently shared the news that he proposed to his longtime girlfriend, actress Shelby Wulfert, asking for her hand in marriage.
“Well… I asked my best friend a question the other day,” Adams shared on Instagram. Her response? “I said, ‘of course I will baby!’ Y’all I’m gonna marry my best friend!!!” Wulfert shared on her social media.
“I love you so much!!” Adams posted on Wulfert’s Instagram post celebrating their engagement. Wulfert responded, “I love you more 😍.” The couple received multiple comments from DAYS cast members and other friends and followers on their big news.
“Congrats you two,” said Robert Scott Wilson (Ben Weston), who added a champagne bottle emoji to go along with his well-wishes. Olivia Rose Keegan (ex-Claire Brady) enthused (in all caps): “CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TWO BEST HUMANS ON EARTH.”
“Fantastic news! Congrats Lucas!!!” wrote Paul Telfer (Xander Cook). Added Marci Miller (Abigail Deveraux DiMera), “Yaaaaaay!!!” DAYS newcomer Dan Feuerreigel (EJ DiMera) wrote, “Congrats” followed by a smiling face emoji. Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera) added, “Congrats my dude!!!!”
“WHAAAAAT!!” exclaimed Martha Madison (Belle Black), followed by four clapping hands emojis. “YAY!!!” Tamara Braun, who plays Ava Vitali, Tripp’s mother on DAYS, wrote, “So so so happy for both!! Big hugs and love!!” Adds Eric Martsolf (Brady Black), “Buddy…congrats to you!!!!”
Wulfert’s acting credits include the series Betch and Major Crimes. She may be best known for her role as Maddie on Liv and Maddie: Cali Style. A native of Sherman, Texas, Adams moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career in acting. His first soap appearance was actually as Wesley on The Young and the Restless in 2012. Adams did about a dozen episodes as Josh on Liv and Maddie: Cali Style where he and Wulfert met.
