Xander Cook has a very full plate on Days of our Lives as he juggles saving Maggie, Sarah, and Sarah’s baby — all while covering things up for Victor — and his portrayer, Paul Telfer, is just as busy. The actor has written, acted, and produced his own film — and now he wants fans to know he’s completed yet another element for it.
The handsome actor tweeted the news, after teasing fans on Instagram that he had a huge announcement he was going to make in the coming days. So what is the big news?
“Just taped the director’s commentary for the film I wrote, produced and starred in – pretty proud day. More news on the release to come soon!” So that means fans will get to hear the actor give his own running commentary about this passion project, the film Green Fever (which is due out in April), and learn more about the story he wanted to tell.
According to the Internet Movie Database’s summary for the project, the film is a thriller about a cannabis farmer and his pregnant lover, who fight for their lives when ruthless criminals invade their property. It’s directed by Gerard Roxburgh. Telfer plays a character named Ticker, though how he fits into the story isn’t clear.
While this film and DAYS, which he has thankfully been on almost every day lately, have been keeping the Scottish actor incredibly busy, they aren’t the only projects he’s been working on. Telfer stands ready to go where no man has gone before — in a new Star Trek film — Star Trek First Frontier, in which he plays Commander McCain.
This newest Star Trek entry is about the initial launch of the Starship USS Enterprise in 2245 under the command of Captain Robert April, played by actor Robert Pralgo, with his wife, Commander Sarah April, played by Tara Ochs.
Nichelle Nichols, who not only appeared in the original Star Trek TV series but she also played Kristoff St. John’s mother, Lucinda, on The Young and the Restless, also makes an appearance. In Star Trek First Frontier, she is reprising her role as Nyota Uhura. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
