Days of our Lives Star Galen Gering Reveals Behind-the-Scenes Action

Fans were elated when the news was revealed that Galen Gering would be returning to Days of our Lives and his role as lawman Rafe Hernandez. While seeing what fun Rafe is up to in Salem, seeing what Gering is up to behind the scenes on his social media accounts can sometimes be even better!

The actor recently took his trusty phone camera backstage on the set as a photoshoot was going on. Even better though is seeing who he’s taking pictures with — could this be a hint of a future pairing for Rafe?

“Feels great to be back at work, seeing old friends and creating new stories,” he begins the caption. “Excited about the stuff to come and incredibly impressed how these people continue to take our health and well-being seriously. Thank you @nbcdays @hairandmakeupfordays”

In the video, you can see Arianne Zucker being photographed. Could this mean Nicole will be the woman who will catch Rafe’s eye upon his return? She is on her own since Eric (Greg Vaughan) left for Africa. Not if you take the song he set his video to — Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love by Van Halen — to be a hint. Of course, that could just be a quiet tribute to legend Eddie Van Halen, who passed away from cancer Tuesday.

But it would make sense if Rafe and Nicole were to mix things up again. After all, Sami (Alison Sweeney) will be returning, and seeing her sister-in-law with her ex-husband might send these feuding women over the edge! Then you add the kids into it — what with Rafe still sad that he had to give up David and now Nicole taking care of two kids without Eric’s help.
