The Days of our Lives recap for March 8-12, 2021, features a heroine rescued – just in the nick of time – while another falls victim to a crazed psychopath.
Thanks entirely to Clyde (James Read) and the good folks at the SPD, Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Shawn (Brandon Beemer) were able to deduce Evan’s (Brock Kelly) location – which just so happened to be Ben’s apartment.
The two men stormed the dwelling and found Evan clutching both a gun and a familiar-looking hostage. Claire (Isabel Durant) managed to elbow her way to freedom, and Ben managed to get the drop on Evan…but not before the baddie got a shot off which incapacitated Shawn.
Ben forced Evan to take him to Ciara (Victoria Konefal), arriving seconds too late to save her from the explosion that nearly leveled her prison cell. Heroic Ben managed to pull Ciara free from the carnage, will her back to life, and transport her to University Hospital…but judging by her condition, his efforts may have all been in vain.
Gabi (Camila Banus) and Abigail’s (Marci Miller) partnership proved to be short-lived when Gabi stopped Abby from injecting Gwen (Emily O’Brien) with Dr. Rolf’s (William Utay) brain chemistry-altering drug and wound up freeing their hostage.
Gwen delighted in telling Chad (Billy Flynn) all about his wife’s illegal shenanigans, then she made a beeline for the police station. However, her claims of imprisonment were met with skepticism and outright hostility. Perhaps she shouldn’t have pled her case to Abby’s cousin.
Sami (Alison Sweeney) steamrolled Belle (Martha Madison) into agreeing to remain her lawyer by claiming that a) she did not shoot Charlie, b) she wasn’t covering for the actual shooter, and c) there would be no further surprises coming their way.
Enter Rafe (Galen Gering), who came bearing the news that the clothes Sami had worn on the night of her arrest were covered in gunshot residue. In light of her sister’s blatant dishonesty, Belle packed her briefcase and told Sami that she was on her own.
A mercenary Paulina (Jackée Harry) made an enemy out of Kate (Lauren Koslow), quite the impression on Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), and a fool out of herself, all in the same night. Talk about hitting the ground running. Now, will someone please tell her that she was never in the running to be Jules’s godmother?
When Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) caught her sans Susan garb, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) assumed that she could argue and/or manipulate her way out of the situation. But when Sarah refused to keep quiet about the villainess’s scheme, lest Kristen snap and kill someone, Kristen snapped and clobbered Sarah on the head with a paperweight! Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
