The Days of our Lives recaps for May 24-28, 2021, features Jan forcing Claire into embarking on a Thelma and Louise style adventure, Kristen bidding Salem adieu, and so much more.
Jan (Heather Lindell) confronted Claire (Isabel Durant), handgun drawn and confessed to killing Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) and framing Belle (Martha Madison) for the crime.
In the meantime, Belle tracked Shawn (Brandon Beemer) down and warned him that Jan had most likely sussed out their plan to get her confession on tape.
After his kiss with Claire, Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) returned to his apartment and wrestled with a guilty conscience that manifested itself in the form of Jordan (Chrishell Stause). The specter urged Ben to sign his divorce papers and free Ciara (Victoria Konefal), but he resisted.
Xander (Paul Telfer) tracked Sami (Alison Sweeney) down and revealed that EJ reneged on paying him the $10 million. When Sami refused to make up the lost profits, Xander produced a gun, but Lucas’s (Bryan Dattilo) intervention saved the day. Later, Sami and Lucas panic at the prospect of EJ learning about their affair.
Xander’s next stop is Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) apartment. She refused him room and board, as well as a monetary offering. When he made clear his intention to tell Sami about the night they spent together, Nicole agreed to help in another way. He suggests hiring him at Basic Black.
At Brady’s (Eric Martsolf) urging, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) confessed to leaving Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) bound and gagged in the trunk of Kate’s (Lauren Koslow) car. When Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) goes to inspect the vehicle, he finds it missing. A spot of detective work results in Philip and Shawn learning that the car is being used by Jan as her getaway vehicle – and Claire is her unwilling chauffeur.
Gwen (Emily O’Brien) strenuously objected to being used as a drug mule, but Dr. Snyder (Michael Lowry) reminded her that should she refuse his demands, he’ll reveal the truth about her miscarriage.
Kristen begged Brady to tell her whether or not he still loved her, and he answered in the affirmative. However, Brady also said that due to the damage that she’s wrought, he can no longer see making a life with her.
When Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk), freshly sprung from Statesville, paid Kristen a visit, she used it as an opportunity to escape custody. She’s momentarily halted by Ava’s (Tamara Braun) sudden appearance, but the mob princess ended up facilitating her friend’s exit.
After being slowly weened of the medication keeping her in a medically induced coma, Kate (Lauren Koslow) awoke and claimed that she could neither see nor remember anything prior to planning her and Jake’s tropical getaway.
Gabi (Camila Banus) swung by Rafe’s abode hoping to speak with her brother but instead found Ava, who revealed her status as Rafe’s girlfriend. Not to be outdone, Gabi then informed Ava that she and Jake (Brandon Barash) had reunited.
Later, after questioning Ava about Kristen’s escape, Rafe drew her into yet another kiss, and the two wound up making love. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
