The Days of our Lives recap for Monday, October 18, 2021, features D.A. Melinda Trask proving that everybody has a price, and John Black trying to make his wife’s trauma all about himself, and the Devil’s plan coming to fruition.

Victor (Jon Aniston) isn’t one for chit-chat…but he’ll make an exception whenever there’s an opportunity to disparage Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans)…and Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) – he hates her now too. But what the man can not abide is his kin rotting in jail; he wants Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) out ASAP, and Melinda’s (Tina Huang) the lady who can make it happen.

But Melinda has a mighty big demand – she wants daughter killer Kristen DiMera handed to her on a silver platter. Done, says Victor. Get me results before I play ball, replies Melinda. If only Victor knew a patch-wearing, former Marine who now runs a P.I. business with his bestie. Oh, wait! Paging Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols)….Paging Steve Johnson.

DAYS Recap: Jailhouse Blues

While Xander and Justin got down to the business of getting themselves into shape, Gwen and Bonnie got to chatting, and Gwen – as is her wont – made a right mess of things by clueing Bonnie in on Justin’s predicament. But no matter, Bonnie’s got faith in her would-be hubby.

If there is one thing that a nearly possessed Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) is not going to do, it’s let John (Drake Hogestyn) dictate what she can and cannot do with her own story; he needs to take a seat and get over himself.

In the meantime, Doc will busy herself with letting Satan take full control of her mind, body, and soul; it’s hard work, but somebody’s got to do it, and she is the Dark One’s favorite.
