Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) is back in town and ready to become the next Federico Fellini – but first, he needs a little influx of cash. Papa EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) isn’t about to part with any of his, but he did offer Johnny a seat at DiMera Enterprises; Johnny said no, in the strongest way possible, then took his leave.
Off he popped to Julie’s Place, where he made the acquaintance of a lovelorn Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens). They talked, flirted, and Johnny managed to slip his number inside Chanel’s phone.

Hurricane Sami (Alison Sweeney) never once came down to the police station to yell at someone for her daughter’s arrest, so color Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) worried as all get out.

She made a beeline for Grandpa John (Drake Hogestyn) and Grandma Marlena (Deidre Hall) so that they could all discuss the situation – and agree that it’s not like Sami to stay radio silent for so long.
John agreed to go lean on EJ for info – which was not at all appreciated by the DiMera scion; Marlena and Allie receive a text message, purportedly sent from Sami, saying that she’s okay but unable to face her loved ones.

Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) came thisclose to telling Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers) that she is her natural mother, forcing Olivia Price (Marla Gibbs) to intervene. Despite herself, Paulina keeps quiet; she and Lani make peace.
