The Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, September 1, 2020 features Will and Sonny saying their final goodbyes, Xander sizing up the competition, and Sami going all out to destroy Nicole.
There was one more farewell for Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Will (Chandler Massey). They told Sami (Alison Sweeney) they were leaving. She did not take it well. The couple had to all but demand she wish them well. She did, eventually, but not before trying to guilt them into staying.
A phone call from the courthouse had Sami rushing off. Will and Sonny took one last walk through the square. They remembered the highlights of their romance and said goodbye to the town that brought them together.
Nicole (Arianne Zucker) was all but ready to give up the fight but Eric (Greg Vaughan) pushed her to stand strong. Justin (Wally Kurth) interrupted their talk. It was time to head to the courthouse.
The judge was ready to make her ruling but Sami asked to call a final witness. She put Victor (John Aniston) on the stand. He testified he was once married to Nicole and she tried to have him killed by Jan Spears (Heather Lindell). However, he didn’t have proof and Jan was in a coma so she couldn’t confirm. Once again, the judge was ready to give the baby to Nicole and Eric.
That’s when Sami made the ultimate play. She called Jan to the stand. Oh yes, she’s out of a coma and Sami found her in a locked-down mental hospital. Nicole was stunned to see Jan walk in the room.
Back at the Kiriakis mansion, drama over the CEO position played out. Xander (Paul Telfer) and Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) had it out to the point of it getting physical. The fight stopped when Victor walked in and told them his decision. They would both serve in the top spot as co-CEOs. They had to work together, or else.
Over in the hospital, Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) played catch up. They talked about him forfeiting his job and going on the run with Kristen (Stacy Haiduk). Brady admitted he missed being in Salem but Kristen and Rachel came first. His wish was to clear Kristen’s name so she could finally come out of hiding. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC.
