The Days of Our Lives recap for October 21-25, 2019 features a murder scheme gone awry and Gabi on a mission to exact some vengeance. Plus, we also had romance.
Jordan’s (Chrishell Hartley) plan to go all Evil Queen and poison a Ciara backfired spectacularly. Although she succeeded in baking the tainted treat and preparing it for her victim, the intervention of icing-enthusiast Ariana resulted in a switcheroo that caused Rafe (Galen Gering) to be the recipient of the deadly dose.
He collapsed into a heap on his kitchen floor while unsuspecting Ciara (Victoria Konefal) merely battled what seemed to be the early hours of a one-day flu bug.
Determined to extact as much revenge as she can for her husband’s death, Gabi (Camila Banus) confronted Lani (Sal Stowers) and informed her that she was going to dump Eli (Lamon Archey) at the alter. When Lani wondered why Gabi promised that if she didn’t “…Eli’s sweet, sweet grandma will be a dead woman.”
An incredulous Lani insisted that Gabi couldn’t do anything to hurt Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes). After all, she already donated Stefan’s heart and even though DiMera Industries holds the rights to the pacemaker already installed in Julie’s ticker.
True, Gabi said. But, the pacemaker that Julie received was a special contraption designed to sync to Gabi’s cell phone which she can use to control the heart’s rhythm. She can slow it down until it completely stops beating or she can speed it up until it induces another heart attack.
Lani refused to acquiesce to Gabi’s demands. She didn’t believe that Gabi would really destroy the last visage of Stefan just to harm Julie but Gabi argued that it was a sacrifice she was willing to make. She’ll be damned if both Lani and Julie get to live their happily ever after’s.
When Lani insisted that she couldn’t hurt Eli by pulling a runner, Gabi shrugged her off. “Guess there’s going to be one less old hateful bitch in the world.” And with that, she set Julie’s heart rate into overdrive.
Despite his assurances that his troublemaking days are behind him, Rolf (William Utay) initiated the final step in completing Hope’s (Kristian Alfonso) “transformation.” After coming upon her unconscious form in his warehouse of horrors, Rolf helped her onto a throne, adorned her with a tiara, and welcomed, “Her Royal Highness.”
“Well let’s not stand on ceremony shall we?” the artist formerly known as Hope cooed. “Simply call me, Princess Gina.”

Was Victor’s (John Aniston) description of Kristen’s (Stacy Haiduk) soul – “…a black and dark abyss, a morass of sin and darkness.” — extremely apt or incredibly crass?
Likewise, which one of Victor’s proposed baby names – Lilith, Prince of Darkness, whatever Rosemary named hers – should Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Kristen seriously consider?
Can someone please bring up some salient points about the situation concerning Kristen and Tony (Thaao Penghlis)? For starters, they are ADOPTED siblings.
Second, the entire concept of everyone recoiling in disgust at the thought the two marrying doesn’t ring true considering the fact that in the 1990s they were betrothed to one another and the Kristen/Tony/John/Marlena quadrangle was one of the most popular storylines this soap ever had.
Thirdly — and most ridiculously — a history-retconning tale would “reveal” that the man Kristen had married AND slept with had not actually been Tony but was instead his identical cousin Andre. Only in daytime folks. Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
