The Days of our Lives recap for Monday, August 16, 2021, features the Carver/Price family mourning Ciara Brady regaining her memory, and Paulina Price refusing to take guffaw from her mama.

Paulina (Jackée Harry) wasn’t in the least bit thrilled to find mama Olivia (Special Guest-star Marla Gibbs) outside her door, demanding to be let in, and itching for a fight. The women disagreed on everything from the sugar content of the sweet tea served, to Paulina being in Salem in the first place. But the biggest bone of contention? Olivia’s worry that Paulina might slip up and reveal that she, and not Tamara, is Lani Grant’s (Sal Stowers) ma!

DAYS Recap: Blame Game

Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) was dubious. Did Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) REALLY expect him to believe that it was he, and not Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien), who was Dr. Clay Snyder’s (Michael Lowry) person on the outside?

But insist Xander did…and so strongly that Jack finally had no other choice but to believe him. So, out Xander went on his behind – but not before Gwen realized the extent of his feelings for her. Awww, love amongst the villainous class!

DOOL Recap: Memory Bank

The good news? Ciara’s (Victoria Konefal) memory is back. The bad news? Ciara’s memory is back…so that means no more playing house with Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson); and that makes Theo, Abe Carver (James Reynolds), and Lani really sad.

Even Ciara got a little misty-eyed when she had to hand over her pretty engagement ring, but then she was back in Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson) arms, so everything worked out in the end. Oh, and don’t worry about Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Claire Brady (Isabel Durant), they’ll be out of the slammer in no time flat!
