The Days of Our Lives Recap for December 30-January 3, 2020, features SteVano making a grand entrance, Kristen losing her patience, Rafe getting the short end of the stick, and much more.

Days of Our Lives Recap Highlights

Tired of being in limbo and desperate to step up his plan to woo Marlena (Deidre Hall), SteVano (Stephen Nichols) declared to Kate (Lauren Koslow) that he was going to make a bold move before the New Year’s clock struck 12.

And ever true to his word, SteVano did just that by donning Steve’s all-too-familiar eye patch and re-entering Salem society during a celebration at Julie’s Place. Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) and Justin (Wally Kurth) were, to say the least, not amused by the errant Johnson’s arrival.

Kristen: Nunsense

Having decided that she didn’t have to be saintly since she didn’t take her vows, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) donned her favorite hip-hugging, scarlet red dress and revealed herself to Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker).

In quick order (ha!) Kristen revealed to her ex that she had broken up with God and she was desperate for him to “kick this whore [Nicole] to the curb and come back to me.” When Brady politely declined,  Kristen attacked her blonde rival — a move that certainly didn’t paint her in the best light. At least, according to Brady.

Answers Sought

Despite assuring Justin that she had moved on from her ex, Kayla took the first opportunity presented to her to rush over to Steve’s new digs — which is, of course, John and Marlena’s townhouse — and demand an explanation.

When a satisfactory one was not offered, Kayla pushed until she “Steve” blew up and confessed to her that “I’m in love with another woman!” Sweetness did not see that one coming.

No Good Deed

After learning from Roman (Josh Taylor) that Rafe (Galen Gering) had presented him with a laundry list of her misdeeds, screw-ups and all-around poor police work, “Hope” responded by firing her Dudley Do-Right subordinate. That’s gratitude for ya!

DAYS Musings

“I feel like I should be singing baritone in that insufferable piece of tripe by Gilbert and Sullivan.” We think you’ll find, SteVano, that the piece of tripe you are referring to is called The Pirates of Penzance.

What was this week’s best continuity shout out? Kristen remembering that Nicole’s porn name was Misty Circle or Hattie’s recollection of Roman (Josh Taylor) having”twins that fell out of the sky…somehow”?

Victor’s (John Aniston) devotion to Ciara (Victoria Konefal) is…touching. Too bad he’s framed the love of her life for a murder he didn’t commit and is gleefully counting the minutes until the state executes him for the “crime.”

Boy when she was backed into a corner during that confrontation with Gabi (Camila Banus) and Eli (Lamon Archey) over her vandalizing of Gabi Chic, Lani (Sal Stowers) certainly threw Kristen under the bus mighty quickly didn’t she?
