The Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, May 19, 2021, features Kristen hoping to trump her captors, Xander getting a massive payday from his would-be victims, and Marlena desperately seeking Chloe.
Try as she might – and Lord knows that the lady tried – Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) just couldn’t keep up her Susan Banks charade in front of Lani (Sal Stowers). The mothers bonded over stories of their children, Kristen got to officially meet the Grant twins, and then it was off to the police station for the DiMera heiress.
Kristen went ever so quietly – which should have set off immediate alarm bells. And sure enough, once she was suitably ensconced in the interrogation room, Kristen attempted to leverage her knowledge of Chloe’s (Nadia Bjorlin) whereabouts for a get-out-of-jail-free card.
Chanel (Precious Way) and Eli (Lamon Archey) had a good ole kee-kee after the former caught the latter in all his naked glory. Then the conversation turned to Chanel’s same-sex kiss, the possibility that Lani and Kristen had been more than friends in the convent, and just how toxic a person Kristen really is.
Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) wrung their hands over a missing Chloe and a grievously injured Kate (Lauren Koslow)…though neither of them was particularly concerned over Sami and Lucas’s (Bryan Dattilo) whereabouts. Perhaps had they not lied to precious Chloe, then their fates would matter.
The two eventually grew so concerned that Marlena went on a hunting expedition – and wound up witnessing an armed – and $10 million richer – Xander emerging from the secret tunnels.
Meanwhile, Jake (Brandon Barash) continued to worry about Kate, and Gabi (Camila Banus) continued to worry about the state of her and Jake’s relationship. But Jake assured his lady that, despite the recent turn of events, he’d forever be hers. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
