The Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, April 20, 2021, features a whole lot of talk about Gwen’s body, and the state of Chanel and Xander’s union.

Abigail (Marci Miller) had some news for Chad (Billy Flynn): his one-night stand was on her way to get a blood test that would verify whether or not she was carrying his child. And if Gwen (Emily O’Brien) was indeed pregnant, Abby warned that she had better consider an abortion. Because a Chad/Gwen baby would nip a Chad/Abby reconciliation in the bud.
And what news did Dr. Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) have for her new star patient? That’s right, Gwen. You’re about to become a mommy! But are congratulations or condolences in order? Will you be continuing with the pregnancy, or will you jump through a myriad of legal hoops to terminate?
After much internal debate – and one emotional ultrasound – Gwen made her decision. Abby, try not to preach. She’s keeping her baby.

After a confrontation with her stubborn as hell daughter, Paulina (Jackée Harry) was fit to be tied – and it was up to Abe (James Reynolds) to calm her down. And he probably would have succeeded…if only she hadn’t asked him for a blow by blow of Xander’s (Paul Telfer) varied misdeeds.
And while Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) laughed themselves silly over the predicament that Chanel had gotten herself into, the newlywed in question was busy cursing her luck. Why oh why did she saddle herself with a poor loser?!
Luckily for Chanel, divorce courts were created to correct such unfortunate mistakes. Unluckily for her, Xander wasn’t the least bit interested in letting her go…especially after learning that his mother-in-law is a big-time real-estate mogul.
