The Days of our Lives recap for Friday, September 3, 2021, features Gwen Rizczech finally taking responsibility for her actions, Ciara Brady Weston making a surprise suggestion, and Bonnie Lockhart slipping back into old, bad habits.
Having read the Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford)-penned hit piece on Xander Cook (Paul Telfer), Gwen (Emily O’Brien) decided that drastic action was necessary. Yes, she was prepared to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth where her relationship with Dr. Clay Snyder (Michael Lowry) was concerned.
The one hitch? Even after coming clean, Jack still wouldn’t believe her; and besides, why would Gwen agree to peddle drugs for the bad doctor…it’s not like he had something over her, right Gwen?
Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) broke from their cross country drive to New Orleans in order to get some much-needed cuddle time – and, presumably, some shut-eye. Upon waking, they indulged in some early morning Shakespeare, hot sauce-topped eggs, and a debate on whether or not to have a baby!
Nightmares full of doom and foreboding have marred Bonnie Lockhart’s (Judi Evans) wedding day – and Calista Lockhart’s (Cady Huffman) appearance, or her insistence that Bonnie make off with Xander’s stash of cash, helped matters.
After being once again reminded that Xander’s not returning the $1 million until he gets his job back, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) headed for Basic Black and informed Nicole Walker Brady (Arianne Zucker) that she’d be rehiring her least favorite ex-husband.
When Nicole balked, EJ threatened to fire her, then he turned on the charm, and encouraged her to hire Xander, and then make his life a misery until he quits of his own accord. EJ doesn’t care either way, but Xander will be returning to work at the company.
Nicole acquiesced, and EJ headed back to Xander’s room at the Salem Inn to collect his prize…and interrupted Bonnie who was in the midst of stealing it!
