The Days of our Lives recap Thursday, May 7, 2020, features Gabi going the distance, Steve and Hope bonding over the past, Kayla standing her ground, and Abigail going missing!
After a good verbal spar with Chad, Gabi (Camila Banus) went back to the garage to confront that Jake (Brandon Barash) fella again. She was convinced he was Stefan and nothing could prove otherwise. They argued over the whole theory, and Jake even joked about how Stefan was a bad dude. Frustrated, she did what anyone dealing with an evil twin would do and kissed him.
As it turns out, Jake is a pretty shady character himself. He had some goons chasing after him who mistook Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) for the new baddie. They demanded their “stuff” and knocked Ben out cold with a crowbar. Thankfully, they didn’t hit him hard enough to draw blood, and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) came upon him pretty quickly.
Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) had a grand time on their first day living together. And, why not? They were practically roomies as SteVano and Gina so why not carry on. They talked about those bad, no-so-old days, the good even older days, and what was going on right now.
The friends wanted to put their mind control past behind them and destroyed the SteVano portrait. They hoped it would never go through something like that again. Haven’t they had enough drama in their lives?
Meanwhile, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) didn’t lick her wounds over Steve moving in with Hope because there were no wounds to lick (or so she said). She set the record straight with both Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Justin (Wally Kurth) about where her heart lies. She’s Justin’s gal now and Steve was free to do whatever he wanted with whomever he wanted.
Abigail (Kate Mansi) was also out of the hospital, but not because she was discharged. She was MIA, making Chad frantic. He had just tried to get more answers about what was going on with his wife only to have her disappear right under their noses. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC.
