Days of our Lives Recap: Gabi Saw Too Much And Eve Attacked Again

The Days of our Lives recap for Friday, August 14, 2020 features Gabi getting more than one surprise, Eve running into the wrong woman, and Vincent completing his mad scientist mission.

An accidental scandal unfolded at the DiMera mansion when Gwen (Emily O’Brien) worked to make Jake (Brandon Barash) jealous. She asked Chad (Billy Flynn) to get in bed with her as a revenge plot (for fakesies, though, they wouldn’t really sleep together). Chad said nope, not a chance.

Caught In The Act

That did not stop Gwen. She heard footsteps outside the door and took action. She thought it was Jake so she grabbed Chad and planted a passionate kiss on his lips. The plan backfired. The intruder was Gabi  (Camila Banus) and she promptly took snaps of the whole situation.

Gabi was on cloud nine until she went downstairs and ran right into Li Shin. She steeled herself for terrible news but was shocked again. Li was buddy-buddy with Jake and thought he was a breath of fresh air.

Claire Became The Voice of Reason

Eve (Kassie DePaiva) was caught, but by the exact right person, her old pal Claire (Isabel Durant). Claire lost it, even while Eve tried to manipulate her into absolute silence. That was NOT going to happen.

Claire tried to reason with Eve, but it was impossible. Eve hit her across the face and pushed her to the ground, all while Claire begged her to turn herself in. Claire did not stop though. She got right back up and ran for help.

An Optimist and A Devious Doc

Ciara was at the station hanging with her detective mom and Rafe (Galen Gering). The commissioner updated her on the search for Eve and she updated them on Ben (Robert Scott Wilson). He was struggling but things were looking up, or so she thought. She was wrong.

Ben was trying to recover but was sidelined by Victor (Michael Teh). The baddie was in Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) chair. Vincent forced Ben to sit still to take the rest of the drugs. The torture stopped when Ciara showed up to interrupt the not-so-therapeutic session. Sadly, she was too late.

Just Friends, Or More?

Back at the station, sparks were flying between Rafe and Hope. They couldn’t ignore it or deny it so they had to address it. They agreed to just be friends and leave the romance behind them (for now). Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
