The Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, July 14, 2021, features a down and out Nicole Walker Brady getting a pleasant surprise, Lucas Horton planning to blow up his ex’s world, and Gabi Hernandez DiMera and Jake DiMera pooling their resources.
The day has not been kind to Nicole (Arianne Zucker). She learned that Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) is still unreachable, Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) refused to cooperate and just admit to his affair with Sami (Alison Sweeney), Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) let slip to Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) that he knows all about the affair that Xander and Nicole had, and everyone forgot that it’s her and Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughan) one year wedding anniversary.
Well, everyone that is, except Eric. He slipped back into Salem, and the apartment he and Nicole shared, unnoticed, and then surprised his wife when she was at her loneliest. Better late than never.
Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) might be super into Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), but the feeling doesn’t appear to be mutual – especially in light of Allie having taken Tripp Johnson (Lucas Addams) to bed. The trio had an awkward cross, and Chanel scampered off at the first opportunity.
And while Allie seemed to declare her love and desire for Tripp just a shade too forcefully, Chanel tried to get over her girl crush by getting under Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson). But he wasn’t having any of it. He’s a one-woman kind of man, and that woman is an already married amnesiac named Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal), thank you very much, Chanel!
Lucas isn’t the kind of man who likes to be used and then tossed aside. Especially when he’s used by his beloved ex-wife Sami, and he’s tossed aside for the likes of EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). So, that might go a long way in explaining why he rescued Kirsten’s poison pen letter from Sami’s match, and why he sauntered over to EJ’s office with it in hand.
Jake’s (Brandon Barash) still a little salty over being ousted as CEO of DiMera Enterprises…okay, he’s actually a LOT salty. Luckily for him, Gabi’s (Camila Banus) got the perfect solution: she’ll get him hired at Titan, they’ll crush DiMera, then they’ll steal Titan out from under Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson). It’s a win/win for everybody – except Phil.
