The Days of our Lives recap for Thursday, September 23, 2021, features EJ DiMera taking center stage, Gwen Rizczech, and Xander Cook kinda sorta deciding to become a couple, and Chloe Lane reading Brady Black for filth.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlight
EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) began his day in unaccustomed fashion: getting told no — no, we won’t be getting back that million dollars confiscated by the police, and no, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) couldn’t care less about his plight.
EJ set off, and over the next hour or so, he saw to it that the charges against Xander (Paul Telfer) were reinstated and that ownership of the DiMera mansion was transferred to him…leaving Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) and Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) out in the cold — and after they’d just made a scene that ended with the eviction of hoity-toity Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). Those two can never have anything nice!

DAYS Recap: This Thing Called Love
Is love sweeter the second time around? Xander certainly thinks so…but poor Gwen (Emily O’Brien) has yet to have a first love – no counting Charles Dickens. And color her just a tad dubious, but Gwen’s still not 100% sure that she “love loves” Xander. She’s pretty happy with him, but what does that prove? And sure, she doesn’t want to see him rearrested for a crime he falsely admitted to, but will she step up for him and come clean to Rafe?
DOOL Recap:
Oh, woe is Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin). She’s got two men fighting for her affections, and they’re both fairly good-looking and enormously wealthy; it must be so terrible for her. But what’s this? Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) is actually being nice to Brady – and he apologized for unjustly accusing his nephew of corporate espionage? Wow, throw in the fact that he bought a sapling, and it’s pretty obvious which man Chloe should choose…sarcasm definitely intended.
