Days of our Lives recap for Monday, July 27, 2020 features Rafe barking up the wrong tree, Claire throwing cold water on the hot seat, and Sami’s manipulations working exactly the way she planned.
Rafe (Galen Gering) hauled his prime suspect in for questioning and laid into her. Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) was shaking in her boots but screamed her innocence. She didn’t plant the bomb (or was a part of any other dirty deed, for that matter). Rafe and Shawn (Brandon Beemer) set out to find the truth.
Lo and behold, Claire was not lying. Her alibi checked out and she was in the clear. She said she was at the park that day and the cameras proved she was telling the truth. So, who really did it? Rafe was on a mission to find out.
Nevertheless, Shawn and Belle (Martha Madison) decided it was best to get their daughter out of town. They told Claire to pack her bags so they could catch the next flight to Hong Kong. Claire was not pleased, of course.
Meanwhile, Allie (Lindsay Arnold) was forced to change gears after Rafe (Galen Gering) turned her down. She had a talk with her mom and then called her second choice dads. Will (Chandler Massey) and Sonny (Freddie Smith) rushed to the hospital and were tickled pink by the news. They were going to be dads again.
Sami (Alison Sweeney) was over the moon. Her plan worked and the baby would stay in the family. She even bragged to Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) that she was the reason their son was adopting their daughter’s baby.
Lucas had just about enough of Sami. It did not help he was already stressed from trying to fend off Bonnie (Judi Evans). He woke up to find her in his bed begging for another chance and no one needs that.
Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) came home and they were refreshed, falling back in love, and ready for what life had to bring. What they weren’t ready for was running into Justin (Wally Kurth). Things became awkward when they all tried to wish each other well.
Thankfully, it wasn’t too long after that Sonny turned his dad’s frown upside down. The baby news was joyous indeed and at least Justin had something to look forward to. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
