The Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, July 13, 2021, features Chanel Dupree and Allie Horton having a very important talk, and Julie Williams helpfully solving (or is it complicating?) one of her grandson’s cases for him.
It’s time for Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Allie (Lindsay Arnold) to get a few things straight. Firstly, did either one of them regret the kiss they shared the night before? No? Good…good…progress. Secondly, and, perhaps most importantly, what does that mean for the two of them moving forward? That, as it turns out, is a bit complicated.
Allie’s not exactly ready to declare herself a lesbian, or bisexual – or to give up whatever it is she has going with Tripp Dalton (Lucas Addams)…which doesn’t exactly please Chanel. And Chanel is further flummoxed when she spies Allie and Tripp heading to her boudoir in order to make love.
You may be a good detective, Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) – but you’ve got nothing on Grandma Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes). Not only doe she know that Dr. Clay Snyder (Michael Lowry) dropped dead on her grandparents’ sofa, but she also knows that he did so in the presence of Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer), two lying liars who lie. Maybe they killed him, maybe they didn’t. But they should at least be questioned.
Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) began her apology tour at Lani Grant’s (Sal Stowers) abode, and it went as well as can be expected given the circumstances. So, after being summarily dismissed – make that banished – Paulina next tried to make amends with Chanel…which went about as well as her previous attempt.
John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Black (Deidre Hall) played hosts to Abe Carver (James Reynolds), but he wasn’t exactly in a congenial mood. Perhaps it was because he was covered in both proverbial and literal egg. Or maybe it was because his heart was well and truly broken. Either way, he cut the evening short.
Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) couldn’t believe her eyes, or her ears – or her luck. Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth), the man who had just turned down her marriage proposal, was suddenly down on one knee proposing to her! And he didn’t even mind the fact that she’d asked his almost wife, Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans), to be her matron of honor at the wedding. Well, he did mind…but he wasn’t about to tell Bonnie that.
