The Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, June 8, 2021, features Chanel unwittingly making an enemy of two family members, two serious conversations taking place, and Xander sticking his neck out for Gwen.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlight

Chanel (Precious Way) spent her morning getting two treats for the price of one. First, she got to see Eli (Lamon Archey) in all his glory – again! Then, she got to bask in his ample praise for her business plan. A returning Lani (Sal Stowers) wasn’t so quick to offer her kudos; she was too busy trying to read into the sight of Chanel sitting close to a shirtless Eli on the living room couch.

Chanel later made her way to Paulina’s (Jackée Harry) new apartment, which she found unoccupied. Of interest to the young woman was a dossier marked “plans for the Horton Town Square.”

Intimacy Issues

After an awkward run-in with Tripp (Lucas Adams), Allie (Lindsay Arnold) headed to Grandma Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) office and begged for her help. As Allie went on to explain, she really, really likes Tripp…but memories of Charlie (Mike Manning) keep getting in the way of them taking their romance to the next level.

Allie also told Marlena all about the smooch she shared with Chanel – the one that she’s totes cool with, as is Marlena. Mar Mar prescribed caution, and offered further free therapy sessions…it’s really the best deal Allie’s gonna get.

Meanwhile, Tripp had a similar discussion with rape survivor Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), who reminded her charge that he’s already courted a young woman who was victimized in a like fashion – and even though his and Ciara’s (Victoria Konefal) relationship didn’t last the long haul, they were able to move forward – for a time – despite Ciara’s initial hesitation.

Talk then turned to Dr. Snyder (Michael Lowry) and how absolutely awful he is; and to make matters worse, over came Dr. Snyder to be absolutely awful to Tripp. Kayla was not amused by the scene, nor Tripp’s recollection of the tense exchange between the doc and Gwen (Emily O’Brien).

Collateral Damage

Over at the Horton House, Xander (Paul Telfer) demanded some straight answers from Gwen, though none were forthcoming. They both agreed to let sleeping dogs lie, for Jack’s (Matthew Ashford) sake.

However, when Xander overheard Gwen speaking to her blackmailer, he made a beeline to the hospital with the intent of giving him what for. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
