The Days of Our Lives recap for November 23-27, 2019, features a rescued baby, more bad news for Jennifer. and a new man taking on the Phoenix persona.
Another week, another opportunity to inform Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) of another death. This time she learned that JJ’s (Casey Moss) beloved Haley went off to collect her reward in the great beyond courtesy of a shove-happy Kristen (Stacy Haiduk).
The exact circumstances weren’t explained but suffice to say there was some concern that Kristen’s actions weren’t exactly lawful but in any event, the D.A. decided not to press any pesky murder charge.
In response, a thankful Kristen split town and chose to become God’s instrument of peace — if only she can break that nasty habit of damning bitches to hell from inside the convent. Seriously, Sister DiMera has a major potty mouth (and a mean streak) that really should be corrected before those final vows are uttered.
Meanwhile, Jennifer begged Jack (Matthew Ashford) to reveal everything else that he and/or the family were keeping from her and daughter Abigail (Kate Mansi) obliged by telling everyone that she doesn’t think Eve (Kassie DePaiva) sent Jennifer somersaulting over the balcony railing. Happy Thanksgiving Devereaux family!
After KO’ing bad guy Ray, Ciara (Victoria Konefal) managed to snatch baby Mickey, ensure that she got handed over to the authorities, and rescue that letter Xander (Paul Telfer) wrote confessing to Jordan’s murder. Is there anything this woman can’t do?
Across town, Eric (Greg Vaughn) was stunned when Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) answer to his marriage proposal was no. Furthermore, his whole world was blown apart when she followed up with “The truth is, Sarah found out she was pregnant with your baby.”
In response, Eric high tailed it over to the Kiriakis mansion, shut Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) up and down with the news, and loudly demanded to hold his baby. Sarah (Linsey Godfrey), properly chastised, obliged, finally uniting father and daughter.
While Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) celebrated Thanksgiving with the Kiriakis men (and Maggie and Evan) her ex-hubby Steve (Stephen Nicholas) was revealed to have two eyes and under the mistaken impression that he is Stefano DiMera.
This is so not a development that “Sweetness” needed — Jennifer just blessed her and Justin’s (Wally Kurth) coupling and Sonny gave it his seal of approval as well. Can’t she ever have anything nice?
